De Kangoeroe is a service for intervention at home, operating in the district of Eastern Flanders.

In a first stage, De Kangoeroe focused on early intervention for young children (0-6 years), at this moment the service is also supporting children who are going to school and adults with an acquired brain injury.

De Kangoeroe’s working model is based on transdisciplinarity in a partnership with parents. Professional guidance in the family and empowerment of the family in the education of their handicapped child or in their life with a handicapped adult are the main goals.
